Pamela's Pantry

Petrie Terrace

Updated: Nov 24, 2024

Pamela's Pantry is a Brisbane institution that has occupied the colourful colonial shop on Caxton St Petrie Terrace since 1978.

Standing apart from the Caxton Street melee of bars, pubs and restaurants, this character shop with ceramic tiled frontage is easy to bypass.

Yet its richly coloured interior is a veritable paradise of gourmet goodies, from freshly made delectable cakes and pastries (think custard kisses, caramel tartlets, fruit-packed friands) to melt-in-the mouth miniature quiches such as goats cheese, lorraine and fetta and olive for much the same price as the mass produced guff that walks out the door every day from supermarket chains.

There’s also a fridge packed with seriously good home made curries, pastas and casseroles to take away.
