Chocolateria San Churro

South Bank

Updated: Jan 09, 2023

From its central location under the Mantra Hotel, this Spanish style chocolateria injects some late night life to the Grey St strip as the perfect drop-in for crispy golden churros and hot chocolate or Spanish latte post theatre or cinema.

The traditional Spanish doughnuts with dipping chocolate are served up as singles, doubles, as part of a tapas plate or fondue style, while hot chocolates, Spanish or Couverture come in all flavours and types. The former come classic, Aztec style with a shot of chilli or mocha, mint, orange or hazelnut while the luxuriant Couverture come as dark, milk, white, mocha or peanut butter melts.

For something cold they also do a lush line-up of milkshakes, classic or chocolate based-dessert-in-a-cup style, sundaes or cake, for those after a hot dessert there's hot choc pudding and for those after a delicious morsel there's a great range of Couverture truffles at the counter.

Meanwhile for the under 12s there's a special kids menu of mini churros, milkshakes, bubbacinos and ice-cream.
