UPDATE: This business closed in April 2024

Nestled in the historic line-up of shops opposite the old Red Hill Skate Arena (now Red Hill Cinemas) is the heavenly, little chocolate boutique Couverture & Co.

Owner and chocolatier, Jessica Brookes, honed her chocolate making craft at Paddington’s much-loved  Bittersweet Chocolates, which is evident in the high calibre of chocolates on offer.

Made from the finest Belgian Callebaut chocolate and combining traditional methods such as hand-tempering, dipping and piping, with experimental and unusual ingredients and flavourings, the result is a small but unique range of chocolates not found elsewhere and worth a trip to sample.

Highly recommended for dark chocolate fans are the Raspberry Ganache, Fig and Muscat, or the Espresso Martini - dark chocolate ganache with a shot of coffee, vodka and coffee liqueur dipped in dark chocolate.

Tops in the milk chocolate range are Hazelnut Ganache and Champagne (milk chocolate with champagne), while white chocolates worth a try include Tonka (white chocolate ganache infused with tonka beans).

Nice to know - The majority of chocolates at Couverture & Co are gluten-free, unless labelled otherwise.
