Altitude Bar

ALTITUDE BAR HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED AND WILL BE REPLACED BY CIELO ROOFTOP BAR IN LATE 2020.

Altitude Bar is a cool chic rooftop bar sitting atop Fortitude Valley's first picture theatre, which is also home to FV Foresters Restaurant and Bar.

Take the elevator to the sixth floor (via the entrance which is inside Foresters Bar downstairs) and you'll emerge at the bar (which is also accessible from the FV Peppers pool by hotel guests).

Featuring cosy cabanas, plants, retractable roof and a side terrace with booths as well as seating along a railing bench with birds eye views, Altitude looks out over the Valley's rooftops and skyline, including landmark historic buildings like Waltons gothic tower, the art deco McWhirters and, in the distance, glimpses of the Story Bridge.

Altitude is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of boutique wine or a cocktail such as Salted Caramel Espresso Martini, Amaretto Brulee, Bushfire Negroni ( Mt Uncle ‘Bushfire’ smoked gin and campari)  or Foresters Irish Coffee. Also recommended are the Pink Fizz (Beefeater pink gin, rose syrup, fresh lemon and cranberry juice) or Dragonfruit Daiquiri (fresh lime, white rum, house-made dragonfruit syrup and fresh dragonfruit).

There's also a mix of craft and standard beers available on tap (including XXXX Gold, Wild Yak and Stone & Wood) or by the bottle (including Victoria Bitter, Corona, Cascade Light and XXXX Gold).

Meanwhile there's a concise menu of tasty bar snacks including Jalapeno poppers, sweet potato chips, calamari and croquettes as well as stone-baked pizza (with toppings such as capricciosa, margarita and funghi).
