Shalom Indonesian Restaurant is a colourful laidback no-frills Indonesian eatery found tucked away in Pinelands Plaza, Sunnybank Hills.

On the comprehensive menu, which is available as dine-in or takeaway can be found a range of authentic hawker style Indonesian dishes, starting with entrees such as Indonesian dimsum with peanut sauce, vegie spring rolls and fried tofu & tempeh with chilli sauce.  

Vegetarian dishes include fried eggplant with Balinese sauce; gado gado (veges with peanut sauce); and young jackfruit in curry soup, whilst soups include Jakarta style beef brisket soup with steamed rice: and spicy beef ball soup with vermicelli.

A selection of rices sets are available, such as crispy duck set; marinated beef set with balado egg and curry; or combination rice with salty fish and tamarind soup. 

There's also grilled or fried chicken, marinated beef, fried duck or beef ribs served with a choice of Balinese chilli sauce, sweet rujak sauce, menado style chilli sauce or Shalom's signature chilli sauce with rice.  

Otherwise there's a choice of lamb or chicken satay with rice or rice cakes; mushroom chicken noodles; beef rendang with rice or spicy chicken curry with rice cake.

Iced drinks and desserts include happy soda, coconut ice, glass jelly ice or durian ice and there's also a choice of standard soft drinks (coke, fanta and sprite), Indonesian soft drinks, such as Teh Botol Sosro or Kang shi fu honey iced tea.

Need to know - There is free onsite parking available at Pinelands Plaza.
