The Vintage Advantage

This treasure trove of vintage and collectables inhabits Ipswich's narrowest shop, with mosaic tiles at the front that still bear the name of the 1950's occupant and ladies wear shop Lutvey's.

And there's every chance that a garment that walked off the racks new more than fifty years ago has found its way back onto a rack in here today, such is the range and eclectic nature of the clothing (and goods) to be found here. A quick rummage turned up everything from a flapper frock to pantsuits, brunch coats and beaded bags to safari suits, top hats, a Fireman's outfit and a retro Qantas steward's jacket.

Fashion aside, here's the place to find figurines, stockings, beauty cases, ivory cigarette holders, silver compacts, Bakelite canisters, crystal sets, 1960's jugs, coloured glass tableware, tablecloths and Royal Doulton tea cups. There's also memorabilia from the golden age of childhood- think Little Golden books, porcelain dolls and matchbox cars.
