Corner Store Cafe

Toowong

Updated: Sep 22, 2021

Had corner shops been like Toowong's Corner Store Cafe, with its airy dining pavilion, herb garden and serving excellent coffee and cafe fare, they may all still be alive today.

Despite its location out on a limb on a busy road the cute weatherboard cafe, occupying the shell of an afore-mentioned store and still stocking some grocery staples in its front room, attracts a crowd.

Food-wise the breakfast menu features dishes like Strapadasa (Greek-style herb and tomato scrambled eggs), House-made waffles (with citrus curd, berries and vanilla ricotta) while lunch options include Angus beef brisket 'toastie', Malaysian style fish curry and slow roasted lamb shoulder salad.

Need to know - Corner Store Cafe is also great for children, with the (well-fenced) back yard vege patch to roam.
