Haven Park

Bahrs Scrub

Tucked away in the Brookhaven residential development, Haven Park is home to an impressive all-ages playground, set against the background of a tranquil bushland setting.

In keeping with the semi-rural nature of the Bahrs Scrub area, large gum trees provide generous shade to the park, while dry, rocky creek beds – dotted with sandstone stepping stones – border the playground area.

Haven Park

The main play structure is quite spectacular, comprising two towering forts, connected by a series of rope webs, ladders and bridges. There’s also a firemen’s pole and tall slide, accessible only by conquering the maze of rope.

Although the fort is geared towards older kids, younger children still have plenty to keep them busy, including a range of swings, in-built trampolines and see saws. There’s also a separate play area for the littlies, consisting of a small climbing web and bouncer, plus stacks of sand for them to build sand castles in without fear of getting trampled by older kids.

Other highlights of the park include a half basketball court, bike paths, innovative exercise equipment, covered picnic tables and a neat grassy space. For a really nice way to spend a couple of hours, pack a picnic and spread out the rug beneath one of the towering gums.

Haven Park

Need to know – Haven Park is located at Brookhaven Boulevard, Bahrs Scrub, just 5km from the M1.
