Families of all ages and skill levels will appreciate the wide range of fun equipment at the mega Pine Rivers Park playground in Strathpine.

The major drawcards at this playground are the gated toddler section, velocitron spinner, children's hedge -maze, pedal-powered train track, flying fox, complex climbing frames and a basket swing.

The vast parklands have plenty of undercover picnic tables, electric barbecues and toilet facilities available. There are large grass fields nearby which offer the perfect space for a weekend game of cricket or footy.

And in a Brisbane first, a recently opened addition is a nearby sensory space with challenging play equipment like hexagonal links, modular net obstacles, colourful structures and seating that ties into the park’s green surroundings, ideal for children of all abilities.

Be sure to take bikes along as there is a child-friendly cycle track around Pine Rivers Park. The short bike track passes by the Bryce Ampitheatre, and paperbark forests as well as a small lagoon adjoining the South Pine River which provides vital wetland habitat for birds, including Black Swans.
