Griffith University Aquatic Centre

Updated: May 16, 2024

Griffith University Aquatic Centre is one of the southside's best kept secrets.  Located in beautiful bush surrounds at Mt Gravatt Campus, this peaceful public pool appeals to all ages – not just uni students.

Littlies love the splash pool with its fairytale mushrooms, tipping water buckets and frog slide; or they can learn to swim in the fully enclosed, heated pool purpose built for swimming lessons with a viewing area for parents and carers to watch the classes.

Meanwhile, the main pool with eight lanes and disabled ramp access is where most of the action happens whether it's swimming laps or cooling down on a sweltering summer day.  With pop music pumping, sun lounges to relax on and a cafe offering coffee, cold drinks and ice blocks, this southside secret is set to explode.

Need to know: Plenty of free parking is available for pool patrons.
