Chermside Aquatic Centre Pool

Chermside

Updated: Mar 08, 2025

The Chermside Aquatic Centre swimming complex is one of those rare commodities encompassing swimming pools and a small water park under the one open roof.

Note that while the water park is open on weekends only and has a considerably higher entrance fee than pool use alone although it is still good value. Other facilities include plenty of covered picnic tables and a barbecue, an indoor heated pool and a ramp into the main half size exercise pool.

For pool entry only visitors have access to a 25m pool with two slippery dips and a toddlers wading lagoon with raining mushrooms and slippery bridge.

Water park entry includes a ‘flume of doom’ double tube ride and two open spaghetti tube slides, water shotguns, a purpose built dive bombing pool and a ‘lily pad’ pool crossing.

While the tropical surrounds and pool areas are a little on the tired side it really hits the mark with children who will be entertained all day here.
