Archery Arena
Various Locations
Archery Arena aims to bring archery tag, an action-packed game similar to dodgeball, to Brisbane's burbs with a series of social events and tournaments.
Fun, fast-paced and perfectly safe, archery tag utilises bows and lightweight foam-tipped arrows. The objective is for opposing teams to tag their opponents. Tagged players can be recalled when another team member is hit or catches an arrow.
There are currently two locations. An indoor venue at Macgregor State High School (39 Wadley Street, Macgregor) and an outdoor venue at Sunnybank Tennis (29 Padstow Road, Eight Mile Plains).
Ninety minute sessions run every Tuesday and Thursday evening between 6 and 9pm. Cost is $15 per person plus $15 equipment hire ($10 for students). Equipment includes facemask, bow and arrows.
The first tournament will be announced soon with sixteen teams of six players competing for $1000 cash. Cost is $20 per person (includes entry and equipment). Follow Archery Arena on Facebook for more details.
*Need to know: The minimum playing age is 12 but players under the age of 16 require a parent or guardian to attend and sign a waiver.
