The Green

Fortitude Valley

Updated: Feb 28, 2024

The Green is a Middle Eastern inspired urban oasis serving breakfast and lunch daily from its leafy plant-filled home in Fortitude Valley's James St precinct.

The architecturally designed tropical brutalism-inspired space features raw concrete, Rosso Levanto marble and an abundance of lush greenery.

Customers can take a seat in the outdoor dining pavilion or garden room, the perfect setting to slow down while surrounded by an arbour of cascading plants.

Acclaimed Chef Warren Turnbull brings his considerable cache to the menu, taking fine-dining cooking techniques and applying them to traditional Middle-Eastern dishes.

Be transported to the streets of Beirut and start the day with The Green’s breakfast menu. Choose from Green Shakshuka, Smoked Labneh, Chilli and Turkish Bread or Tahini Granola with Blood Orange, Cacao, Coconut Yoghurt and Barberries.

And for lunch you can enjoy the likes of Rainbow Chard and Montasio Cheese Brick Rolls, Grilled Zhug Marinated Lamb cutlets with Smoked Onion Puree and Crispy Shallots or Spiced Cured Ora King Salmon with Golden Beetroot, Horseradish and Lemon Seed Lavosh.

Good to know - Both breakfast and lunch menu items are available all day and also for takeaway.

Need to know - The Green also offers catering for groups, offices, and events.
