Trammies Corner

Paddington

Updated: Mar 08, 2025

A quaint pocket park from which there are scenic views of Paddington west to the Border Ranges, Trammies Corner is so named as a tribute to the tram drivers who used to frequent the stores in the vicinity at Latrobe Tce during smoko.

One of the city’s main depots was down the road where Paddington Central now stands and it was this depot that was destroyed by fire in 1962 thus striking the death knell for Brisbane’s trams.
