Jean Claude Cafe

Archerfield

Updated: Jun 05, 2024

Jean Claude is a delightful child and dog-friendly cafe with a French twist, housed in an old cottage at Archerfield Airport next to God’s Acre Historic Cemetery.

For plane spotters and history buffs, this is a top spot with shaded tables beneath big umbrellas and under leafy trees. Inside the light-filled cottage, you'll find a handful of tables and chairs, leafy plants, and a small kitchen for kids to play at.

Food wise, everything is made from scratch by the French owner/chef including an array of sweet and savoury treats, such as baked cheesecake (served with your choice mixed berry or passionfruit coulis) apple and pear crumble, Jamaican carrot cake with pineapple, plus flaky sausage rolls and delicious homemade quiches.

More substantial offerings include breakfast specials like bacon and egg brioche buns, breaky tortillas with bacon, egg and potato, and Eggs Benny - two perfectly poached eggs and crispy bacon on freshly baked focaccia bread with house made hollandaise.

Coffee on pour is supplied by Veneziano Coffee, served along with pots of Tour de Tea teas, hot chocolate, chai lattes, and milkshakes.
