Talking Ideas: An Evening with Peter FitzSimons

SLQ

Spend an evening with Australia’s master storyteller, Peter FitzSimons as he brings to life the dramatic story of Captain William Bligh, Fletcher Christian and history's most famous mutiny on HMS Bounty at State Library of Queensland.

The fascinating event is part of State Library of Queensland's new Talking Ideas program, a series of extraordinary discussions featuring exceptional international and national writers and thinkers.

Set in the South Pacific on 28 April 1789, the mutiny on the Bounty is one of history's truly great stories — a tale of human drama, intrigue and adventure of the highest order, and in the hands of Peter FitzSimons it comes to life as never before.

Peter FitzSimons' books, including his newly released Mutiny on the Bounty, will be available for sale from the Library Shop at the event and Peter will be signing after Talking Ideas.
