Cinderella

Cremorne Theatre QPAC

Cinderella is a heart-felt and funny, fairy tale for grown-ups filled with glittering magic and awkward affection, playing at QPAC from April 26 to May 5, 2019.

This modern-day fairy tale, from new theatre collective Myths Made Here, is a re-imagining of the classic Cinderella story. There is a missing shoe, midnight, and a beautiful transformation but this is Cinderella not as you know it.

This Cinderella is a single, woman in her late 30’s who’s looking for a half-decent date, rather than Prince Charming. As she flees from a blind date, she finds herself with a slightly reclusive male who has found her missing shoe.

Cinderella QPAC

Written by award-winning Australian playwright Matthew Whitte (Girl Asleep, The Book of Everything), and directed by Daniel Evans (I’ve Been Meaning to Ask You, Richard III), the  stellar cast includes acclaimed Queensland performers Amy Ingram (I Want to Know What Love Is, COSI) and Thomas Larkin (Death of A Salesman, True West).

This poignant, romantic comedy is for die-hard romantics and anyone who is sick of swiping left.

Need to know – This play is suitable for ages 15+.
