Flames, Smoke and Noise

Cedar Grove

Flames, Smoke and Noise is an exciting event, hosted by the Queensland Rocketry Society, that will see rockets big and small launched into space at speeds up to 1000 kilometres per hour!

Taking place at Cedar Grove (15 kilometres south of Jimboomba) on Sunday, March 24, members of rocket societies, amateur rocketeers and anyone who’s looking for a unique experience, will get a real thrill from the sound and power of rockets being launched into the sky.

Flames, Smoke & Noise

Spectators can get up-close to see how rockets work, experience the excitement of rockets being launched or launch one themselves with a rocket starter-kit.

Flames, Smoke and Noise is a prelude to the upcoming Thunda II 2019, the largest congregation of rocket enthusiasts in the Southern Hemisphere happening near Goondiwindi in April.

Nice to know - QRS will be holding a sausage sizzle on the day.
