The Gap

Updated: Oct 10, 2019

Bean & Gone Espresso Bar is a standout at The Gap, with its black picket fence, striking artwork, lime green and black décor and sweet and savoury takeaways and eat-ins.

This cool funky  café is the local go-to for top coffee, takeaways and eats and can be found attached to The Friendly Grocer.

Owner Ben knows a thing or two about providing convenient delights to both locals and commuters. With good prices, the child friendly café is ideal for those passing by, after school snacks and mums and bubs morning teas.

Bean & Gone also brings ‘funky’ to The Gap with colourful and eye-catching graffiti murals by Brisbane based graffiti artist Travis Vinson. His works surround the café from the outside dining spot which allows visitors to soak up the sunshine through to the garage doors that keep the café looking animated when closed.

While Bean & Gone serves up great coffee to keep powering through the day, milkshakes for the kids and a full range of slices, muffins and cakes, the best part is being able to pop in with the pram for quick rest stop, pull up right out front for a coffee mid-work or walk down from the nearby homes or schools for a day-time treat.

In particular, Rosie’s homemade cupcakes are a major drawcard so be quick to arrive before they are sold out.
