One of the most influential Greek chefs of his generation, Dimitris Katrivesis is coming to The Greek Club for one flavour-filled week in May, including a Signature Degustation Dinner on Wednesday, May 15.
Join Greek super-chef Katrivesis and Nostimo Chef-in-Residence, David Tsirekas, for Brisbane's most exciting culinary event of 2019. MC’d by Chef Tsirekas, this unmissable evening will give guests a deeper insight into the man behind the dishes, his methods and his inspirations.
Chef Katrivesis is world-renowned as a master of Greek cuisine, both traditional and modern, having worked in some of the world's best restaurants including five-time world number one restaurant El Bulli in Spain, and acclaimed three-Michelin starred restaurant Ryugin in Japan.
His cooking has been described as ‘daring, self-assured and full of expression'. For this special event, Chef Katrivesis has crafted a mouth-watering menu featuring traditional Greek favourites, prepared and presented with his signature Japanese Peruvian twist.
Guests will treated to oysters and axinosalata (white fish, sea urchin and bottarga) before tucking into traditional Greek fare like Garides Saganaki (shrimp, feta and oven-baked tomato sauce), Pastitsio (wagyu tartar, caviar and bechamel sauce) and Stifado (oxtail, orzo and graviera cheese). Afterwards, diners can indulge in delectable desserts such as Ravani (coconut steamed cake, mastic and sour cherry) or Greek Yoghurt and Honey (yuba, honey namelaka, cucumber spoon sweet and Cantonese fried walnuts).
