A Journey To Viking Iceland

State Library of Queensland

THIS EVENT HAS NOW SOLD OUT.

Embark on A Journey To Viking Iceland with Kári Gislason at the State Library of Queensland's Talking Ideas event on Jun 12.

Here you'll get a rare and fascinating insight into the fierce lives of the Vikings, as author Kári Gíslason shares one of the great saga stories of the north.

This is a tale of exile, and of a family that a thousand years ago was forced to settle in the remote Westfjords of Iceland. They built a farm, fell in love and married - then discovered that life in their new home would not be a peaceful one.

Need to know - Come along early and enjoy hot snacks, live music, cold beer and wine at the Library Café Bar.

Nice to know - The Library Shop will have a selection of Kari’s books available for sale at the event, and you are invited to meet him post-event to have your book signed.
