Buffferingzs is a cute, coffee nook in Fairfield offering top-notch Italian espresso and fantastic foodie fare.

Located on the corner of Fairfield Road and Ashby Street, this quaint cafe (formerly Slinky Espresso) has been updated with a new mural inside and funky graffiti outside.

The all-day menu boasts a selection of savoury breakfasts such as smashed pea and avocado on sourdough with feta, poached eggs and pumpkin puree, house made Boston-style beans topped with tomato salsa, sliced avocado and sour cream, and slow-cooked savoury mince on sourdough toast with wilted spinach.

Sweet tooths can tuck into Nutella-infused pancakes served with fresh figs, blueberries, mascarpone, maple syrup and sweet dukkah, or cinnamon-infused brioche French toast served with mascarpone, passionfruit, fresh berries, pistachio and maple syrup.

Lunch options include loaded chicken toasties stuffed with shredded-chicken, hazelnut, cranberries and mayo, and Angus beef burgers on brioche buns with bacon, Swiss cheese, caramelised onion and salad.

Coffee on pour is by Genovese, served along with Tea Drop teas, fresh juices, smoothies, milk shakes and frappes.
