Beccofino

Teneriffe

Updated: Sep 03, 2021

Fans of top quality authentic Italian pizzas bless the day that Beccofino (older sibling of Il Posto in Paddington) flung open its bifold doors onto its tree-lined dining deck, thereby ensuring a way to get a decent thin crust pizza without buying a ticket to Rome.

Since then diners continue to descend in droves to this no-booking minimalist eatery which occupies a corner of one of the few non-wool stores in Teneriffe.

The pizzas, which come in bianche (white or cheese-based) and rosse (red or tomato based) may be the stars but the rest of the Italian fare from the pastas to secondi hold their own.

Sit on the open deck and enjoy a Aperol Spritzer with the Calamari fritti con rucola, which is a taste sensation.

It’s worth noting that there is kid’s menu for the Bambini offering pasta, pizza and desserts.
