Monocle Coffee

Morningside

Monocle Coffee in Morningside is a spiffy cafe and boutique salad bar serving specialty coffee, fresh pastries and delicious gourmet salads.

Monocle Coffee, Morningside

Found on a leafy suburban side street, Monocle is a sibling for some of Brisbane's most popular cafes: Pawpaw (Woolloongabba), Piggy Back (Jindalee) and Sundays (Rocklea). But unlike its older siblings with their full breakfast and lunch menus, Monocle specialises in gourmet take-away salads.

With more than a dozen delicious, wholesome salads on rotation, there's something to suit everyone; from tabbouleh with chilli flakes and lemon dressing, and beetroot and quinoa with orange and balsamic, to broccoli and almond salad with cashew aioli dressing, and roasted maple pumpkin and quinoa with walnuts, cranberries, spinach, sumac and maple lemon dressing.

While the focus is on grab-and-go, customers can linger longer with a few tables provided inside the Scandinavian-inspired space as well as outside, and savour a freshly baked croissant accompanied by a well-brewed cup of coffee.

Coffee on pour is Monocle's signature blend by Veneziano, served along with single origin coffee, filter coffee, house made cold brew, tea, hot chocolate and superfood lattes.
