Talking Ideas: Crime Culture with Tara Moss
State Library of Queensland
Join best-selling author Tara Moss at the State Library of Queensland's Talking Ideas event on October 28, as she provides fascinating insights into Dead Man Switch, the first book of her hot new crime-fiction series.
Tara’s latest series introduces the smart, sassy and sexy new heroine, PI Billie Walker. Set in post-World War II Sydney, Billie finds herself immersed in the city’s dangerous underworld (think gangsters, smugglers and players) as she battles to find a young man before it’s too late.
As well as talking about her latest work, Tara will also discuss all things crime fiction, writing, and her experiences of being a strong woman working in a predominately male world. The multi-talented Tara is also a journalist, doctoral candidate, presenter, model, and outspoken advocate for children’s and women’s rights. She is the best-selling author of 11 books, including the acclaimed Mak Vanderwall and Pandora English series.
Nice to know: State Library's Talking Ideas are regular live events with the world’s best authors, thinkers and commentators.
Need to know: SLQ’s Library Shop will have Tara’s books – including Dead Man Switch – on sale at the event. Tara will also be meeting fans and signing books afterwards. Hot snacks, beer and wine will also be available pre-show at The Library Café.
