Open Studio: Natalya Hughes
QAG
Queensland Art Gallery’s Open Studio is now in session, with Brisbane-born Natalya Hughes the artist in residence until January 27.
Open Studio aims to provide visitors with unique insights into how the artist works, and more specifically how they experiment, manipulate and refine materials and processes. Visitors can get to know the artist further by watching interviews and viewing their studio through 3D photography. There will also be two art station drawing activities to partake in, specific to the artist’s practice.
Nice to know: Natalya Hughes is the second of five contemporary Australian artists to feature at Open Studio. Each artist stays for a four-month stint.
