Paella Y Pa'Mi
Coorparoo
PAELLA Y PA'MI HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED IN JUL 2023.
Paella Y Pa'Mi is a chic little Spanish bistro and wine bar located in the Martha Street precinct at the edge of Coorparoo.
With just 14 tables, the cosy Spanish garden-style paella bar is framed with vines and strings of lights, and features a tiled floor, white-washed backlit bar and banquette seating along one wall.
Patrons can sit at the bar and enjoy tapas and a traditional Spanish aperitif, vermouth or sherry, sangria, glass of Spanish wine or beer or a Spanish-flavoured cocktail such as El Brumble Andaluso (creme de rhubarb, rum blanco, lime juice and mango puree), Volando Voy (tequila, rosemary liquur and lime juice) or Playa Blanca (orxata, rum, cinnamon and agave).
The concise and exquiaite food menu, which borders on fine dining with out the price tag, offers a range of Para Pica (snacks) , Tapas, 3 types of Paella (the house signature) and Postres (sweets).
Start with Anchova y la Cabra (goats cheese, native pepper, local honey and Cantabrian anchovies); Croquetas del dia (croquettes of the day); Oyster with a Spanish twist or house marinated Spanish olives with citrus-zest, smoked paprika, fresh rosemary and thyme.
Tapas are highly recommended and include cured and fried pork belly with spiced pear; seared scallop with salsa salvitxada, caramelised chorizo and ashed spring onion or empanadas of the day.
No visit to Paella Y Pa'Mi is complete though without trying the paella, which serves 2-3 people. Choose from Vatericiana - the original rabbit, Chicken, broad beans and green beans or full traditional with Caracoles (snails); Marisco - fresh seafood of the day; Vegetariarta - fresh array of seasonal vegetables; or Marysol- the chefs signature, with fresh seafood and chorizo.
And for sweets there's a choice of churros with Marysol cream and thick chocolate sauce; almond mousse with amarina cherry gel and lemon glaze or Crema Catalina.
To accompany there's an all Spanish wine list, derived from the best wine-growing regions of Spain, Spanish beer on tap, as well as traditional Liqueur and Digestives to follow, including Spanish chocolate, coffee and caramel liqueurs.
Need to know - There is a limited amount of free on street parking nearby.
