Kári Gíslason: In Conversation with Richard Fidler is a fascinating afternoon of conversation and storytelling, sagas, and extraordinary landscapes at Brisbane Powerhouse on June 5, 2022.

*Due to the major weather event in Brisbane this event has been postponed from February 17 to June 5.

Friends and co-authors of the bestselling Saga Land, Kári Gíslason and Richard Fidler come together on stage for this special Writers+Ideas event inspired by Kári’s new novel, The Sorrow Stone and featuring stories, sounds, and images.

Born in Iceland, Kári has set his latest work against the dramatic backdrop of his birthplace. An epic and compelling novel, The Sorrow Stone celebrates one woman’s quest, and takes a sidelined figure from the Viking tales and finally puts her where she belongs – at the centre of the story.
