Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct
Kingston
Logan City Council is creating a vibrant cultural heritage and performing arts hub at the iconic Kingston Butter Factory - a place where the City of Logan’s rich cultural heritage and diversity can be celebrated.
The Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct offers an exciting program of incredible art, drama, music, comedy and more - artistic works that draw people together, challenge and inspire. Importantly, the precinct is a home for the exceptional artists of Logan featuring regular free live music events and community events.
The precinct covers 14 hectares of green space and incorporates a black box-style theatre, living museum, heritage centre, plaza, children’s play space and massive outdoor stage with a stunning 5,000 capacity lawn.
The outdoor stage is the city’s largest outdoor performance space hosting festivals, concerts and community events. Discover what’s on offer at Logan ARTS.
The original caretaker's cottage has been transformed into Devon Pixies Tea House, located beside the colourful children’s play area. The Plaza is where regular markets are held: the Milky Way Twilight Market operates monthly from 5-9pm, and from March 12 the Farmers Market will be held Saturday mornings from 7am-12pm.
The restored Butterbox Theatre located in the renovated Kingston Butter Factory building will open in March. Bookings are now open for live performances which include music events, acclaimed theatrical performances, children’s entertainment and more. Discover performances and show times here.
From April 30, enter the Living Museum for free, Tuesday to Saturday from 10am- 4pm, to view displays and stories from the people who have made the City of Logan what it is today.
