Lina Rooftop
South Brisbane
Lina Rooftop is a jaw-dropping beach club style rooftop bar/restaurant and infinity pool in South Brisbane, with sweeping bird's-eye views of Brisbane City, Mt Coot-tha and the inner city.
Centred around a stunning 30m pool, the glamorous 12-storey high venue, with its cabanas and sun lounges, has capacity for 480 patrons standing and 128 seated inside for dining.
Inspired by the Mediterranean coast and its famous beach bars, Lina offers a choice of poolside grazing or indoor dining at the stunning pavilion-style restaurant, which features wooden flooring, blue leather booths, chic rattan furniture and a smattering of lush pot plants.
The restaurant has a seafood-flavoured menu with delectable entrees such as pan-seared scallops, octopus roulade, king prawns with mango and daikon, or Moreton Bay bug ravioli, as well as beetroot carpaccio.
For mains there's Goldband snapper; fire-roasted eggplant and whipped tofu; confit ocean trout; lobster thermidor and $145 smoked Black Onyx flank steak.
There's also a choice of dishes from the raw bar, such as heavenly ceviche, oysters, kingfish crudo, sashimi, salmon gravlax and beef carpaccio.
The casual poolside dining menu includes a small selection from the restaurant including the raw bar, as well as the likes of smoked eggplant tacos, sliders, lobster rolls, grilled skewers, calamari fritte and fresh salads.
The drinks menu is as impressive as the food menu and the setting, with 14 signature bespoke cocktails, four spritzes on tap, premium champagne (including Dom Perignon by the glass), a lengthy wine list by the glass or bottle (including 3 litre double magnums of Chateau D’Esclans Whispering Angel rosé), 8 beers on tap, plus top shelf spirits.
Good to know - Lina also serves breakfast on weekends, with offerings such as potato rosti and poached eggs, or hotcakes with caramelised maple banana.
Need to know - Day beds can be rented for the day, with access to lockers, showers, towels and hair dryers included. BYO swimmers.
