Brisbane City Walking Tour: Past and Present
Museum of Brisbane
Join Museum of Brisbane on a Brisbane City Walking Tour around the CBD and discover some of the most fascinating stories hidden in our great city.
From traditional custodians to convict stories, public art and towering cathedrals, this tour is an excellent introduction to Brisbane’s rich and complex past, before finishing your experience at the exhibition Making Place: 100 Views of Brisbane.
What makes a place? Is it bricks and mortar that build it, or the people that inhabit it? Is it the memories that have been made over millennia that keep it alive? Rapid change is not new to Brisbane. It is a city that has seen constant developments in industry, politics, lifestyle, architecture, and technology over its history, building layer upon layer.
The Brisbane City Walking Tour is a fast (90 mins) and fun romp through history that's perfect for first-time visitors or long time lovers of Brisbane.
Tours take place on selected Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30am-12pm, departing from the ground floor of City Hall and finishing on Level 3, City Hall inside Museum of Brisbane. This tour is suitable for all fitness levels and abilities.
Head to MoB's website to check out their other historical walking tours including History on the Hill and Walking in Wartime.
