Cordelia Sourdough Bakehouse
South Brisbane
Cordelia Sourdough Bakehouse is a bakery cafe in the heart of South Brisbane that specialises in artisan sourdough loaves, deli bagels and delectable pastries.
Nestled on Cordelia Street, the stunning industrial chic space features polished concrete and blonde timber with seating provided inside overlooking the busy streetscape and al fresco, under cover surrounded by lush greenery.
Owned by Ania Kutek and Eddy Tice, the dynamic duo behind Superthing and NYC Bagel, the bakehouse offers a range of European-style sourdough loaves, from rosemary and olive, to dark rye and sourdough baguettes.
Each loaf is handcrafted using one of five different sourdough cultures including one that's decades old from Sydney's iconic baker Cesare Salemi (the third-generation baker owns Dust Bakehouse), one sourced for the sourdough capital of the world San Francisco, and the Bakehouse's own culture made from native Australian kakadu plum.
Besides freshly-baked loaves of artisan bread, the Bakehouse has a selection of sweet treats on offer, from delish danishes and cinnamon scrolls to drool-inducing doughnuts filled with either jam or Nutella. And, of course there are Superthing's flaky croissants and deli-style NYC bagels.
Grab and go or dine in and savour your scrumptious baked goods with an expertly-brewed cup of Padre coffee.
Nice to know - Diners will be able to enjoy breakfast and lunch at the Bakehouse in the coming weeks.
