To celebrate National Vinyl Record Day, South Bank Parklands has teamed up with Rocking Horse Records to throw a special vinyl record market and listening party - for free!

Head to South Bank Parklands on Friday, August 12th, 2022, from 12pm to enjoy Vinyl Village, Live at South Bank’s newest event. There’ll be thousands of vinyls on sale from some of Australia’s most revered record buyers and a cosy, retro living room vibe complete with live vinyl DJ sets.

At 6pm, tune in to the Vinyl Listening Party, hosted by Ben Ely (Regurgitator) and Patience Hodgson (The Grates), and enjoy the surround sounds of vinyl or don a pair of wireless headphones to get lost in the music.

After each song, the panel made of up iconic music professionals and enthusiasts will run an open discussion to talk through the elements of the track and answer any questions. The panel features: Lissie Turner (aka Mel Bampton, former Triple J Presenter, Creator of 'Like A Version', Author of ‘Off the Record’), Malcolm Wood (Owner of Brisbane Jazz Club) and Luke Henery (Bass Guitarist, Violent Soho).

Entry to the market and listening party is free, so gather the music lovers in your life and head down to South Bank Parklands on Friday 12 August from 12pm!
