Inter/Section Laneway
Brisbane City
Inter/Section is a stunning urban laneway in the heart of Brisbane City where patrons can pop-in for a expertly-brewed cup of coffee and fruit-filled danish, or dine-in and savour the delicious breakfast and lunch fare on offer.
The laneway, located at the base of Midtown Centre with dual entry from both Charlotte and Mary Streets, is a beautiful, industrial chic, communal space with high ceilings, exposed bricks and lush greenery; home to Coffee Anthology, The Whisk Fine Patisserie, and Fika.
Coffee Anthology sits at the entrance off Charlotte Street, offering an array of blends and single origins along with fresh pastries, while The Whisk takes up residence in the middle of the laneway in a glass-encased kiosk, where patrons can watch Whisk's patissiers in action, crafting a delectable range of sweet and savoury pastries.
Plenty of seating is provided along the brick wall including roomy booths, where diners can settle in to enjoy a delicious breakfast or lunch provided by Inter/Section’s on-site kitchen Fika.
The all-day menu boasts classic breakfast dishes with a creative twist such as not-so-baklava granola served with vanilla bean yoghurt and chrysanthemum 'honey' berries, or avocado on toast with peas, enoki and citrus evoo, as well as innovative fare like Almost French Toast - a crispy bao bun with chocolate semifreddo and rum-infused orange slices.
Meanwhile, lunch options range from Salad Nicoise with torched tuna, to Fried Rice with wood ear fungus and pickled shimeiji, and artisan Gnocchi with lamb goulash.
Nice to know - Fika is fully licensed with a concise wine list, craft beer and signature cocktails on offer.
