Hey Mr. Cafe

New Farm

Hey Mr. is a buzzy neighbourhood cafe in New Farm housed in a historic corner store, dishing up delicious all-day brunch fare.

Tucked away in the backstreets of New Farm, where The Little Larder used to be, Hey Mr. provides dining inside the light-filled cafe with modern, minimalist decor, as well as on the dog-friendly footpath underneath the wide awning.

The all-day seasonal menu boasts an array of brunch favourites, from simple sourdough fruit toast served with whipped maple ricotta and fresh fruit, to the hearty Hey Mr. breakfast - thick cut bacon, herbed mushrooms, hash browns, poached eggs, wilted greens and sourdough toast.

Other popular menu items include smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with harissa labneh on toasted crumpets, and southern fried chicken with fried egg, bacon jam and Canadian maple syrup on a croffle.

Rounding out the menu are Asian-inspired dishes such as chicken congee and slow-cooked massaman lamb shanks, as well as chilli beef mince and a classic beef burger served with beer battered chips, plus a weekly special like this week's scrumptious pan-fried Nduja butter prawns with scrambled eggs and Yarra Valley Bloody Shiraz Gin Caviar.

Coffee on pour is locally-roasted by Fonzie Abbott, served along with specialty lattes, teas, house-made iced teas, smoothies, fruit juices, kombucha and soft drinks.
