Easter at OPA Bar + Mezze

Updated: Apr 11, 2023

THIS EVENT IS NOW IN THE PAST. FOR MORE GREAT THINGS TO DO AND SEE IN AND AROUND BRISBANE, PLEASE HEAD TO OUR WHAT'S ON PAGE.

One of Brisbane's best Greek restaurants, Opa Bar + Mezze, will be open for all day dining this Easter from 11am to 10pm, including Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Plus, there's even a chance to win a $500 Opa voucher when you dine and play Tsougrisma!

OPA Bar & Mezze

While Greek Orthodox Easter is the following weekend, the team at Opa will be sharing a special Greek tradition – the egg cracking game Tsougrisma - on Easter Saturday and Sunday.

OPA Bar & Mezze

Enjoy delicious Greek fare with sweeping views of the Brisbane river with family and friends, and try your hand at the traditional Greek Easter game that involves two players, each holding a dyed red egg. The goal of the game is to crack your opponent's egg without cracking your own.

OPA Bar & Mezze

The player whose egg remains intact is the winner and moves on to challenge another opponent. The game continues until one player is left with an uncracked egg, who is then declared the winner. The winner is believed to have good luck for the rest of the year.

OPA Bar & Mezze

Plus, one lucky guest really will have good fortune! Anyone who shares a picture of their Easter visit to Opa on Instagram and tags @Opa_Bar_Mezze, will go in the draw to win a $500 voucher.
