Satori Boutique Farmers Market

Sandgate

Satori Boutique Farmers Market has its home just across the road from Sandgate's Town Hall and in one of the village's tree lined streets.

This is the go to spot for locally produced, spray free fruit and vegetables and a range of other culinary delights. Sandy Creek Gourmet Produce sources much of the fresh produce found here from local farmers in the Woodford, Wamuran, Blackbutt and Lockyer Valley areas, ensuring low food miles.

The variety of produce at this market is impressive with Dutch carrots, fresh beets, bunches of leafy kale, vibrant dragonfruit, red hot chillies, creamy avos, sweet pineapples and much more on offer. From a little further away, market goers will also find Tom Ford's crisp and sweet Tenterfield apples, perfect for a healthy snack.

Crusty breads, handmade sour dough and glossy fruit pastries from Crust & Co are snapped up first thing, so get in early if these items are on the shopping list. Pick up a bunch of locally grown fresh flowers and a handmade gift card for someone special. Don't forget to stock up on nature's sweetener - raw honey, straight from Satori's own beehives. Still got room in the basket?  Woombye cheeses, Gutsy's handmade sauerkraut, dips, vinegars, beautiful spices, dark chocolate, boutique teas, and gluten free slices can also be found on the market table.

Owner of Satori Organics Wholefoods and Juice Bar (on whose doorstep the market is located) and founder of the market, Lindy Goodall, creates a range of seasonal preserves and chutneys "with a twist" - and beetroot toffee is amongst the line up. Be sure to stop at Lesa Hepburn's pop up paper-making stall and watch as she creates delicate handmade paper. Lesa is a botanical fibre artist and handcrafted the beautiful light shades in the café, so pop in and check them out.

Lindy is a gracious and friendly host, greeting market goers warmly and stopping to have a chat with regulars. She says she sees the market as a hub where the community can gather and hopes it will bring new business to the area. There's no doubt that the Satori Boutique Farmers Market brings the community together - the happy buzz at a Sunday market is evidence of that. With bags full of great produce, shoppers retreat to the cafe's outdoor seating where they can enjoy each other’s company, live music, amazing food and great coffee.

Satori Boutique Farmers Market

In a nutshell - Call in and stock up on high quality, chemical-free fruit and veg, meet the locals and soak up the friendly community vibe that is so evident here.

Need to know - The market runs on Wednesdays and Sundays, however Wednesday's market is a smaller scale event.
