The Tax Office is the stunning 'casual' ground floor bar in Fortitude Valley's refurbished historic landmark GPO building, also home to TAMA restaurant and lavish cocktail bar The Gatsby.

With soaring vaulted ceilings, glittering chandeliers, parquetry floors, cosy booths and classic bar furniture, the striking centrepiece of The Tax Office is the exquisitely crafted infinity bar with its dazzling tower of bottles, which are reflected in the ceiling mirrors.

Relax here with a beer, wine or cocktail and a bite to eat, with a food menu that includes delicious snacks to share, such as bao buns, beef ribs or haloumi fries; mains such as crab linguine, braised pork belly or sesame crusted barramundi; and casual meals including buttermilk chicken burgers, steak sandwich or Caeser salad.
