Wh Yeo Park

Victoria Pt

One of the few waterfront bayside parks with a sandy beach suitable for paddling, WH Yeo is a lovely flat stretch of green with views across to mangrove fringed Macleay and Lamb Islands and the distant sand streaked hills of North Stradbroke Island.

Featuring barbecues, picnic tables and a playground ideal for young children and a walk and cycle path that hugs the seafront down to the next reserve, along with the bonus of the little sheltered beach it makes a great family destination.

As a point of trivia the park was named after a resident who was born in Beenleigh in1898 and whose claim to fame was growing crops including bananas, pineapples and potatoes on this waterfront piece of land inherited from his mother, until his retirement in 1968.
