Alice

Brisbane City

Alice is a hidden drinking den in Brisbane City, found tucked away down a dark alleyway, opposite the Hilton Hotel on Elizabeth Street.

The bar is famous for the night rock icon Alice Cooper did a surprise midnight gig on Sunday, April 29.

The 80s-inspired rock n' roll boozer is a dimly-lit basement bar with a row of roomy booths along one wall, a pool table, 100-CD jukebox - think 80s bangers by AC/DC, Led Zeppelin and Alice Coope (the bars namesake) - with a couple of vintage TVS above the bar playing old NLR games, Cuban baseball games and episodes of cult-classic Knight Rider.

The bar itself boasts over 150 bottles of bourbon, along with a carefully curated selection of gins, rums, whiskies and vodka. There are eight beers on tap that will rotate through local craft brewers, with Guinness and XXXX Gold always on tap, plus a handful of wines and a cocktail list including signature sips such as the Alice Old Fashioned and Ramos Gin Fizz.

Alice is open daily from 5pm to 3am.
