Extraction Artisan Coffee is a funky roastery café found on a service road off the Pacific Highway in Slacks Creek, serving top notch food and superbly-brewed cups of coffee.

Co-owned by Heather Scott and Alex Milosevic (former roaster at Blue Sky Coffee), this southside cafe/roaster is adding the cool quotient to Slacks Creek with a warehouse-style space featuring high ceilings and concrete flooring, filled with a mishmash of recycled furniture.

Here you can enjoy a cup of ever-changing single origin coffee from around the world, along with a 'Gratitude' house blend that is 50% Brazilian, 50% Colombian. Besides coffee, there's chai latte and delicious hot chocolate made with Colombian cacao and organic panela sugar.

Extraction offers a scrumptious chef-prepared all-day seasonal menu that includes the likes of bacon burritos, white chocolate crumpets, hibiscus and blackcurrant tea cured salmon, sweetcorn and chickpea fritters and cinnmon doughnuts with chocolate anglaise.

Need to know - All of the accompaniments - sauces, condiments, purees, syrups, vinaigrettes, aioli and relishes - are made from scratch in-house, as are the house breads, brioche, muffins and cakes.
