Alfred St Bar & Bottlo
Fortitude Valley
Alfred St Bar & Bottlo is half bar, half bottle shop by the savvy ex-owners of Brewski, who have brought their considerable flair and nous to Fortitude Valley, opening shop on a corner of Alfred St in the high-ceilinged two level space that used to be home to Dutch Courage.
The stunning industrial space has been given a slick makeover, creating an inviting atmosphere to sit and enjoy one of the curated selection of beers, natural wines and delicious bar snacks.
Patrons can enjoy one of the six rotating beers on tap (including one gluten-free), nab one of the cans, or sip on wine by the glass (with a choice of three whites, red, rose and two spatkling) or by the bottle.
A delicious food menu is available, ranging from snacks like Cajun boiled peanuts or shoe staring fries; 'smalls' like kimchi & corn cheese bake, mushroom or chicken dumplings; sticky pork belly; and chimichurri chicken or mushroom skewers; and 'bigs' like tofu poke bowl, pork belly baos or cheeseburger.
Meanwile there's a fantastic range of drinks to take away from the bottlo section, which features a whole wall of shelves with wine and boutique spirits and massive fridges along another, where you'll find a wide range of natural wines and more than 400 types of beer.
Good to know - The mezzanine level will be available for functions.
Need to know - Alfred St Bar & Bottleo is across the road from the back entrance of Brunswick St train station. There is also a secure car park opposite.
