TABOO

Fortitude Valley

Updated: May 11, 2025

TABOO is Brisbane's stunning new rooftop Thai oasis, a sister to popular Pan Asian restaurant and bar Mr Vain that is set to be a hot new dining and nightlife in Fortitude Valley.

Tucked away on the rooftop above Mr Vain, the gorgeous and unique retreat blends the vibe of a secret garden with the edge of a contemporary rooftop restaurant and bar.

The fitout is a striking blend of monochrome green tones, rich textures, and moody lighting, creating a space that feels sleek yet tactile, airy yet intimate, effortlessly shifting from a vibrant daytime retreat to a sultry late-night destination

The menu at Taboo will push boundaries and celebrate the punchy, fresh and flamboyant elements of Thai cuisine through a contemporary lens. Expect flavour-packed creations that surprise and delight, delicate seafood with unexpected twists, and perfectly balanced curries that transport you to the bustling street markets of Thailand.

The bespoke cocktail menu is delicately crafted around Thai flavours, while the wine list offers a selection of 100 handpicked bottles spanning classic labels and progressive new-wave producers with a specialty range of effervescent Pet-Nat wines.

Need to know - TABOO will open in March.
