Splash'n'play Water Park
South Ripley
Splash’n’Play is a state of the art water park and adventure playground overlooked by the family-friendly foodie eatery Forty West in Ipswich’s new Providence town, South Ripley.
Be it summer or winter this park is worth seeking out, with plenty for children of all ages to enjoy. The outstanding play equipment includes giant twisty tube slides and a sky tower interconnected by an elevated rope ‘skywalk’ suspended above the ground, a flying fox and mega climbing ‘spider’ net.
For smaller kids there’s a seesaw, swings, cosy dome ‘cubby’, butterfly scramble nets and a spinner, with paths winding their way in between both.
Aquativity here is about as good as it gets, with wiggly fountains, streams and puddles, squirts and spurts to keep littlies enthralled and higher octane waterplay including a Wavy Wand, Hula Post, Spiral Spray and Aqua Arch for older children.
As well as the playground, there’s also a terraced grass amphitheatre, picnic pavilions and 2 electric BBQs.
Need to know – There’s plenty of offstreet parking adjacent to the park and ramps for pram and wheelchair accessibility. The playground is free to use and is open from 8am-6pm daily from Sep 1-Mar 31 and 10am-4pm daily from Apr 1-Aug 31.
Nice to know – Bring a picnic or grab a drink and bite to eat from Forty West Café, which has a great deck with comfy lounges, tables and chairs overlooking the playground.
