Jollys Lookout

Brisbane Forest Park

Updated: Mar 08, 2025

Brisbane’s second oldest formal lookout reserve, Jolly's Lookout was instigated in 1930 by then mayor William Jolly who thought it a fine place to have a picnic.

Eighty something years later the crowds are still in agreement with him, flocking to this sizable mountain ridge reserve to check out the sweeping hundred and eighty degree views out to Moreton Bay and north to more of the D’Aguilar ranges.

Still there’s plenty of space for all, to park, spread a rug or sit in one of the pavilions or at one of the picnic tables and fire up one of the wood fire barbecues.
