Bunya Riverside Reserve

Bunya

Bunya Riverside Reserve, also known as Bunya Crossing, has a deep waterhole which is perfect for swimming, kayaking, canoeing and fishing on a gentle bend of the South Pine River.

During the warmer weather, Bunya Riverside is very popular with families, and dogs especially enjoy the opportunity to cool off in this peaceful waterhole.

There is a relatively flat walking/cycling track following beside the river which is another healthy way to enjoy this little known part of Brisbane. Casuarina pine trees line much of the pathways and and there are also lots of rock pools near the boardwalk section worth exploring.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the resident turtles, ducks, and abundant native birdlife who are fortunate enough to live here. A gas barbecue, wheel chair accessible toilet, and several picnic tables overlooking the waterhole can also be found at Bunya Riverside reserve.

Need to know - Follow the signage from Bunya Rd, right along Dugandan Rd leading down to the car park adjacent to Bunya Riverside waterhole.
