Springfield Lakes Promenade

Springfield Lakes

Updated: Jun 15, 2020

Just over the hill and out of town centre one of the mini lakes that grace Springfield Lakes has a quirky promenade pathway of about 1.5km return that leads to an exclusive pocket park.

And while it's not the prettiest of the lakes, the waterfront walk has a smattering of public artworks that enliven things a bit – look out for the metal crocodiles and the oversized sun lounges.

At walk's end, which is basically where the path ends, there's a park with spanking new barbecues and picnic pavilion that is virtually untouched (many houses nearby are still being built) and a small fully fenced children's playground.

The walk itself may be started at the indented parking area to the right just over the bridge which leads into the Promenade. This is a great walk for little ones on foot and those after an easy stroll as well as being wheelchair friendly.
