Umami Restaurant & Bar Functions
Umami Restaurant and Bar, found in the heart of Fortitude Valley’s colourful bar district, injects modern flair into traditional fare, served alongside a wildly imaginative cocktail list.
Guests are greeted by a floor-to-ceiling wall of waving Maneki-neko cats, with chic furnishings, pop-art feature walls and accents of buzzing neon.
It’s equal parts luxury and kitsch – an unabashed union that transports diners to a happy place where flavour is fierce, drinks are flowing, and good times are guaranteed.
With more than 30 dishes designed specifically for sharing, guests can take an east-meets-west taste-trek; from trendy poke bowls to fried chicken bao, plus four varieties of dumplings and an unprecedented range of vegetarian options. There’s something to satisfy even the fussiest group of friends.
Not to be overshadowed by the impressive food menu, Umami’s Insta-worthy cocktails are also a star attraction. Think gin bubble tea with passionfruit pearls, rum-based Geisha Colada (think adult slushy), Smoking Eye of the Dragon group cocktail served in a smoking tea pot, and Umami’s exotic Japanese Spritz – the cool younger sister to last season’s Aperol Spritz.
