Mizu Japanese

Teneriffe

Updated: Mar 02, 2024

Tucked away down on the cusp of Teneriffe and New Farm, Mizu is a slick little restaurant, dishing up excellent Japanese cuisine that is a fusion of contemporary and traditional.

With a comprehensive agemono (fried) menu and a modest range of super fresh sashimi/sushi as well as a mini range of salads such as crab and soba, it also offers a couple of delicious bento boxes.

Whilst all the dishes are beautifully executed perhaps the highlight of the menu is the black cod saikyoyaki - grilled miso-marinated black cod, fried eggplant and zucchini with saikyo miso sauce, topped with wild rocket and crispy julienne salad.

In addition, there's a kids menu for 8 yrs and under, offering dishes such as chicken karaage or fish tempura with rice and salad plus gelato.

The menu may have changed since our visit.
