Pera Palace Ottoman is a charming beautifully decorated restaurant bringing the delicious taste of Turkish cuisine for brunch and dinner to Wynnum.

The restaurant, which is opulently decked out with wallpaper, gilt mirrors, lanterns and opulent glass chandeliers, offers a range of seating from casual contemporary to formal antique dining furniture.

There are also a couple of nooks with couches, arm chairs and low tables, perfect for enjoying a Turkish tea or coffee (served in ornate silver tableware) accompanied by traditional sweets.

On the brunch menu are dishes such as Anatolia bruschetta (smoky eggplant mixed with capsicum, onion pine nuts and sesame seeds); Mediterranean Benedict (poached eggs, spinach, caramelised onion, yoghurt & chilli burnt butter); Moroccan rice salad (chicken or lamb) and hand, made Borek Pastry (beef, cheese or vegetable) with salad.

The dinner menu is every bit as scrumptious and beautifully presented on traditional colourful crockery and toward the rear there is a bar. As well as beer and wine, there's plenty of non-alcoholic options including hot chocolate, honeydew green tea, smoothies, freshly squeezed juices and Turkish watermelon lemonade with mint.

As well as a restaurant, bar and coffee and tea lounge, Pera Palace also has a small shop out front where customers can purchase Turkish homewares and gifts.

Good to know - Pera Palace Ottoman takes its name from the Pera Palace Hotel in Istanbul, which was built in 1892, where passengers on the Orient Express were accommodated at the end/start of their journey.

Need to know - There is a limited amount of onstreet parking available in Edith St and surrounding streets. Bookings (by phone) are recommended.
